Barbarians have been featured in every Diablo game since the Hellfire Expansion of the original Diablo. With multiple ways to build them, there are various options to choose from to maximize damage output. One of the best Barbarian builds gaining traction in Diablo 4 is the Rend Barbarian build.
This build is based on the Rend skill, which does constant bleed damage to enemies. It can be learned at a very early stage in the game, at level 4, and can be upgraded with enhancements such as Enhanced Rend, Furious Rend, and Battle Lung Strike, once they become available.
To make this build effective, players must learn Rallying Cry to boost their Fury when needed. At level 25, players should learn the Call of the Ancients skill, which gives a damage boost and temporarily summons three powerful allies based on the iconic Diablo 2 boss. For maximum damage, upgrading this skill to Supreme Call of the Ancients is recommended several passives should be learned as well to make the Barbarian extra tough, such as Cut to the Bone, Aggressive Resistance, Prolific Fury, and Pressure Point. When it comes to pure melee battle prowess, the Barbarian is the best class to use in the game so far. Although it has been criticized for being less powerful than previous Barbarians in other Diablo games, this may be a beta issue.
