Diablo 4: How to fix“Unable to find Valid License”

For those of you trying to play Diablo IV, there is a chance that you will encounter an error code when you log into the game. One of the more common ones is "Unable to find a valid license", which can happen when trying to log into the game.

We've run into this problem ourselves. There are currently several ways to fix it, and besides the fix proposed by Blizzard, here are some other ways to try.




About error code 315306

On June 25, Blizzard issued a statement stating that Diablo 4 and Battle.net games had recently suffered a DDoS attack, causing some server problems. According to Blizzard Support, the Diablo 4 315306 error code is related to the game server being unable to find a valid license, which simply means that Battle.net was unable to verify your ownership of the game. If you want to log into the game, you may have to wait a little longer before embarking on your journey to defeat Lilith.


How to fix ‘unable to find a valid license’
As reported by the Blizzard team, players can potentially fix the error following the following steps:


Xbox Issues
Confirm being logged into Battle.net account.
Games & Subscriptions page will display the “Diablo IV” license.
Transaction History will note any issues with payments.
If issues persist, contact Customer Support for assistance.


PlayStation Issues
PlayStation players experiencing the issues should report them to the customer support page on the Blizzard website.

Additional Ways to Fix the “Unable to find Valid License” Error in Diablo 4
This error could be due to some issues with your internet connection, and the best way to fix this is to power off the router and then on again. But in some cases, the above method may not work. So we recommend that you unplug its cable and plug it back in after two to three minutes.
However, this is not always the case. Some players said that restarting the network did not help and they continued to experience this issue.
You can also choose to restart the Battle.net client. Open the system tray on the desktop, right-click the icon for the launcher, and select "Exit". Wait 2-3 minutes and launch the application again to see if the problem is resolved. If you're playing the game on a console, you'll need to restart it.
It is also possible that the game files are corrupted, causing various problems. Instead of reinstalling the game, you can repair the files through the Battle.net launcher on your computer. Just click on the gear icon next to the "Play" button and select "Scan and Repair". Then wait for the repair to complete.
Hopefully, this bug doesn't bother too many people trying to play Diablo 4. This error may continue to occur when many people launch the game. Our best advice is to wait it out and let the servers cool off.
